Here’s a new idea I tried for journaling this week that I found online. It appealed to me because it involved threes. These are some lists of my likes/dislikes/experiences that I wrote in my journal.

Three things I can’t go without

  • God aka The Holy Trinity aka Jesus
  • My mind – the ability to learn, communicate, and create
  • My Tattoo – seriously, I can’t really go ANYWHERE without it

Three favorite book characters

  • Elend Venture (Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson)
  • Harry Potter (Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling)
  • Aragorn (The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien)

Three favorite things to wear

  • American Giant Sweatshirts
  • Carhartt pants and shorts
  • My jewelry (necklace, bracelet, ring)

Three things I want in a relationship

  • Commitment
  • Laughter
  • Mutual support and comfort

Three pet peeves

  • Unresponsive people
  • Lazy people
  • Negative people

Three favorite TV shows

  • Battlestar Galactica
  • Ru Paul’s Drag Race
  • Queer Eye

Three favorite foods/drinks

  • Vanilla Lattes
  • Cinnamon Rolls
  • Lasanga

Three of my passions

  • Faith / Spirituality
  • Relationships
  • Sexuality

Please comment below if you reached the end of my list of threes and are still reading! I’m expecting only my brother to comment, but it would be great to be pleasantly surprised. I shall see…

The song for this post comes from this month’s Atonement playlist. I found it a few days before June started (May 29th). It’s the third to last song on the playlist, and it reminds me that no matter what, God’s love goes on.

  1. Yes, I’m here. 🙂 I know you sent me this before, but I really like this song! I’m a sucker for duets.

    1. Thanks Nancy. I am very excited to see where your journey takes you as well. So many amazing experiences to take part in!

  2. I made it! Sexuality is overwhelming and I can’t handle it. So I’m glad it’s your passion.

    1. Thanks. Yes, sexuality can be a very dark, dismaying hole, but it is also one of the basic building blocks of life on this planet, and intricately tied into our lives here!
